Well...............sorry people for being inactive for such a long time..................was suposedly busy!!!
So some may still be wondering ,upon whom is the lash unleashed...who is 'lucky' this time to come under the axe................
Then let me introduce them .....they are somewhere inside us too..........demoniacal manifestation of humanity.........to whom we honourably refer as ......RAPISTS.......
So you may be wondering what got me started on such a sensetive topic.......then it was again movies............i just watched a movie......PITAAH.......(one of those obscure movies which are not remembered beyond the releasing friday.........and only aired on zee cinema..................)........It is a story of a supressed village with its oppressing thakur................n a 9 yr old village girl getting raped by the thakur's sons.............n her unbearable plight...........
If you are a novice and still not sure what actually is rape..............then let me refer the oxford dictionary for you.................RAPE is sexual exploitation of the opposite sex against his/her will.......
Now let us spare a thought on the cause of this...........i mean what compels people to commit such a heinous crime............well certainly, it is the urge to do unlimited sex........or maybe to indulge in sexual pleasure before one is socially eligible(i.e. marriage).........or to enjoy more than one is allowed to....
So the problem lies with our lusty nature.............
Now if you are a rapist reading this........let me ask you that if sex is the ultimate pleasure.....then why aren't prostitutes the happiest beings on earth...?...........
Dogs indulge in sex in the middle of the road.n they are not even turned in by the police on rape charges or illicit affair charges..............................but i have never seen a dog happy.............anyone seen a smiling dog???
If you think that lust should govern our intelligence...........then do pray to god that you are not worth a human life,instead give you a pigeon's life....................because pigeons have the highest rate of sexual intercourse...................so supposedly rapist soul can enjoy more in a pigeon body.........
So if lust is so harmful then why were we born with bodies secreting testosterone.........??
Were rapists destined to be born???
Let me explain........................
Talking spiritually..............lust is nothing but a perverted reflection of our original love for Supreme God..............we are attracted towards the opposite sex because eternally our souls are attracted to the Supreme Personality Of Godhead.........who is all beautiful.............
Even morally.........you were given a sensory pleasure but now you want to exploit it more and more.......beyond the norms of the society.God forbid............you are attracted to other women now...............someday it may be your sister or even your mother!!!
Let me qoute Archimedes..
once a student of Archimedes asked him , " When should we do sex? "..
Archimedes replied , " When you want to be weaker than yourself ."..
And the hell, dont you look at the plight of that girl...........?....For you mere sensory enjoyment you reduce that girl to a demeaned existance........common......just balance this on your scales...........your Repurcussive Abhorrent Pandoran box Enjoyment(....bear with this because i wanted an acronym for rape.....)........to her life long suffering and tormentation.........
Although i know not how an unwanted sex can affect her body metabolism.............the psychological aspect is enough to torment her for life.........She wont be able to forget that butchery of her self esteem............Even if she tries to forget those horrendous moments and try to move on with life (only if Mr.rapist is kind enough to spare her life or she doesn't take it away on her own..),our 'humane' society will only act as a mirror for her to relive that incident...........She will become an object of tea-table talks and unwanted finger-pointings..................No wonders if she finds it difficult to get married..............
For your enjoyment you are forcing someone to suffer................is this not what we call sadism.....??
Now if I am treating rape as a disease I must also offer some remedy..........
So what can we do???...........
getting the victim married to the rapist......................?.........think again............Whose side are you in?...................You are just prolonging her miseries....................legalising his crime.................The face she wants to forget, she will have to see every morning.................
What else...............capital punishment for the accused....?..........Well it may act as a detterent for wanna-be rapists,but certainly wont flush out the crime..............We will only make them work harder for it......................they will try and come out with better strategy to escape the hands of law.....................
What we need to do is attack the crime,not the criminal...................criminal is nothing but a diseased body...................We need to eradicate the disease...........
We need to change the mentality of the people..........try to make people understand the repurcussion of all these activities...................It is an all-loose situation.............the girl's life is any ways made miserable...........you also cannot expect to roam around free after committing such a heinous crime..So bettter gain restraint on your senses..............be rational........think before you act.........
There was another topic which I had chalked out to talk upon.................but now I think I am immature enough to comment upon.................victim reconcilation.................We can't estimate the hell they go through...............
Well you took around 7 min to read( and hopefully digest )....this attempt of mine..................In the meantime somewhere around the globe...................9 women would have fallen victims to this atrocious crime.............
I made an attempt at such a sensetive topic.....If in any way I have hurt your feelings..I sincerely beg forgiveness.............
LETS MAKE A DIFFERENCE GUYS.............LET US MAKE THIS WORLD A BETTER PLACE TO LIVE IN..

Really good post! Though driven by emotions, I do agree with what you said. Infact I'm in favor of the harshest punishment possible for those who are guilty. You have to do something to scare these ppl.

Agreed to whatever you say....except onething;you put your blame entirely on the Mr.Rapist.
Women are not only the embodiment of man's desires and passions...but they deserve a position of respect.And rightly,the position of women rightly determines the stature of society...But women are also the weaker section of society...so as a tiger preys the weakest members of a herd...women are easy targets.
What really is assuring for a rapist is-his chances of getting caught is very less.Firstly,the girl wont divulge inorder to preserve her izzat..and secondly,our not-so-strong police system are already overloaded with other criminals and there are also loopholes of bribery and 'ministry power'...and..the best one..the judiciary process would rape the girl publically,and ofcourse after two three years of social gang rapes she would get the justice..next step,push the case to higher court and restart the game.so multiplying all those probabilities...its almost a zero.So why would Mr.Rapist think twice if his chances of being on receiving end is almost zero???....Man is never bad,its the situations that makes him bad...someone said 'desires come through a door deliberately left open'.This is the door which has been left open!
I read somewhere that during Gupta period,rapists were tied to a brass statue and the statue was heated red..Well i am not in favour of such a punishment but considering the women's state;he deserves so...and rightly,gupta era was the golden era of Indian history,atleast this is what we know.

I thought maybe the spiritual take on the issue of lust was not well justified, though i would say that sex is a need of the human body and not the soul within......
it can be compared to our longing for more apparels , more good food, jewellery etc...but one does not rob every store one feels like ,just for the sake of possessing them.....nor the lust can be reduced by having any access of it....(as Osho!!! would have said),
so ultimately it depends on the conscious of the individual........
this was just my take on a part i felt strongly about.

Rapists actually do it for the sense of power it brings them, not for the sexual thrill. The best, if a little extreme, solution: castration. Let them be taken around a castrato in chains and caged like the animals they are worse than. Let everyone know that rape, let alone the intent to commit rape, will not be tolerated.

Thanks Ankit for writing on such a sensitive issue candidly. Indeed a good job. U did put forward some cogent issues and also u spoke about the aftereffects of a rape on a girl,i.e the fingerpointing by the society . I would like to add on to it.... I think its not just the mentality of the rapists that we need to change but the mentality of the society as a whole that needs to be changed. After already loosing her
self esteem, its not the end of the story. Her life becomes hell due to the society coz it gives her either undue sympathy or undue disgust. N the worst part is when the women themselves keep passin n spreadin all this n spoilthe image of a girl. So please ppl, help such a girl live a normal life again. And this can only happen if we treat her as any other ordinary girl.
